: The life and love story of a werewolf fox who spent the last years of her life at the beginning of the 21st century in Moscow.
The introduction says that the novel by the nameless author was accidentally found under dramatic circumstances in Bitsevsky Park, walked around the country for a long time in manuscripts, and finally was printed, while the publishers changed the name from “A Hooley” to “The Werewolf's Holy Book”.
The narration is on behalf of the werewolf fox. The main plot alternates with lyrical digressions, in which the heroine shares her thoughts on the past, present, essence of werewolves and people and much more.
Werewolf-fox A Huli (from Chinese - Fox A) lives in Moscow at the beginning of the 21st century. She is more than two thousand years old. She is intelligent, well-read and enjoys self-education. She has neither gender nor reproductive ability. She is very beautiful, slim, red-haired and looks like a teenage girl. It has a fox tail, which usually hides in panties, and if necessary releases and increases.
The tail is the most important organ of the werewolf, an antenna that creates obsessions and immerses people (from one to three) in trance or hypnosis. The heroine is fueled by human sexual energy, which allows her to be charming, look young and live forever. Every fifty years, a werewolf changes his inner world in relation to modern times. The fox does not die until it is killed.
The heroine earns prostitution. At the National Hotel, she rents a client, an Indian Sikh, and goes with him to the room. There she introduces the client into a trance with the help of a fox tail, and inspires him with the illusion of sex with a prostitute, and at this time she sits next to the bed and reads. At some point, she doesze off and the client “jumps off the tail”, that is, leaves the state of hypnosis, sees the heroine in the form of a fox, and becomes furious. In a fit of insanity and panic, the Sikh jumps out of the hotel window. Having a hassle on the security, the girl is hiding.
The heroine lives in the back room of the sports complex, it’s safer for her. She is in correspondence with her sister And Julie, who lives in Europe with her husband-lord and is interested in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Then A Huli places an announcement about the services on the site “whores.ru”. Soon, an elderly philologist becomes her client, and later his curators from the FSB become interested in her.
At the call to the client, the heroine gets acquainted with an elderly lieutenant colonel Mikhalych and young general Alexander. Between her and the general, feelings immediately flare up. He gives her an expensive decoration and makes an appointment.
The heroine reads a letter from sister E Huli, who lives in Thailand. She warns of the imminent appearance of a super-werewolf precisely in Moscow, since there is a temple that was first destroyed and then rebuilt in the same place, that is, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. And Hooley is sure that the super-werewolf is a legend, everyone can become one as a result of moral improvement and development of their abilities.
On a date with Alexander, the heroine learns that he is a werewolf and does not have a “tail” fox on him. In the intimacy that happened, A Hooley loses her innocence. Despite bodily suffering, she is happy and in love.
On the Internet, the sisters are again discussing the alleged super werewolf. According to A Hooley, they can be any werewolf fox, changing himself and going beyond his own limits.
On a date with Alexander, to whom the girl is carefully preparing, the heroes conduct intellectual conversations in which it turns out that the general is less intelligent and well-read, but much more practical than the heroine. Before sex, Alexander again turns into a wolf, but now it does not scare, but turns on the girl.
Sister And Huli informs the heroine that she will soon come to Moscow with her husband, Lord Cricket, to visit the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The heroine revels in her romance with her lover, especially the fact that he is really happening, he does not have to be inspired with the help of the tail. They really caress each other and get great pleasure from it. In a fit of passion, Alexander pulls And Hooley's tail, and she is ashamed of her past sins (this is an unpleasant property of foxes), mixed with orgasm.
And Julie meets with her sister E, who came from England, at the National Hotel. The sister has a bitchy character, the girls conduct intellectual conversations and exchange barbs. They argue about the difference between Russian and English mentalities. The heroine confesses to her sister in love with Alexander, not hiding that he was a werewolf.
And Julie asks A to introduce her to the general, so that he takes out a pass to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior at night. He and her husband-lord, an occultist, are going to celebrate the black mass there with the goal of causing a super-werewolf. This is the idea of Lord Cricket, who himself is going to become a super-werewolf. The wife is sure in advance that he will die, but not very upset: she is not in love with her husband and is ready for a new relationship.
Four heroes meet and argue about the fate of democracy and liberalism in the world and in Russia. Alexander - for firm control over democratic institutions, and Lord Cricket - for state liberalism towards citizens. The general does not trust the disinterested help that Europe and the international community seek to provide to Russia; he is sure that the “civilized” countries want, as before, to deceive and rob the Motherland. He is convinced of the distinctive development and special path of Russia. But Julie is surprised by such a werewolf patriotism, she herself, having lived thousands of years in different countries, is cosmopolitan. The radical views of Alexander seem to A Hooley wild, although inexplicably attracted to her.
Lord Cricket tells the audience about werewolves, not suspecting that he is in their company. He recalls that he is going to call a super-werewolf at night in the temple.
The heroine is fond of hunting chickens - this is a specific occupation of werewolf foxes. She is not afraid of dogs, as she knows how to bother them. She decides to demonstrate her skill to Alexander in order to become closer to him, to melt the remnants of distrust between them and just to brag.
The goal of hunting chickens is supraphysical transformation, that is, the transformation of a woman into a fox. To do this, you need a chicken and a man. When hunting, the chicken will not suffer, and the person will forget everything as a result of the “tailing”.
Having ordered Alexander not to interfere, And Hooley begins the hunt. At first everything seems to be working out: in the forester's chicken coop, the heroine grabs a chicken, runs away with her, turning into a fox on the run. People are chasing her, and at the most inopportune moment she stumbles upon two mounted police officers. But Julie lets out a chicken, then turns into a person, falls, catches up with her and is about to beat. Alexander, who appeared on time, introduces the police into hypnosis and saves his beloved. He advises her to never hunt again, because she looks in the guise of an old fox.
The hero takes the girl with him to the North to show how he hunts. They fly a prestigious plane to the city of Nefteperegonevsk, they are greeted with honor by the military in expensive cars. In a snowy field with outstretched pipes, the military is deploying equipment for pumping oil. An old cow skull is installed on the hill, the light from it is directed onto the field, and the werewolf Mikhalych howls next to it. Oil does not come from an empty well. Then the baton of howling intercepts Alexander, also transforming into a wolf. He directs the eye sockets of the skull to A Hooley, she falls into oblivion, howls, and oil comes from the well. Military oilmen thank the general for his service to the motherland and awarded the order.
Upon returning to Moscow, predictable news awaits the heroes: Lord Cricket died at night in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. And Julie reads the news about her hunt for chickens. The text contains a lot of lies, which no longer surprises the heroine. The world of people seems to be false through and through. She is especially indignant at the distortions of reality and the Image of God attributed to werewolves. She considers this a hypocrisy and finds many examples of distortion of reality in all aspects of life.
The heroine talks about the transformation of werewolves - foxes and wolves. They differ qualitatively; much more energy is spent on turning into a wolf than in a fox. She invents to combine their energy flows in both tail antennas for mutual hallucination in order to diversify sexual intercourse.
If we learn to stack our hypnotic vectors in order to dive together in a love illusion, ‹...› we will arrange for ourselves such a train station for two, where each sleeper will be worth its weight in gold.
Now lovers connect their tails and watch movies, turning in their minds in the characters they like. "... The intensity of the experience was such that I had to use a special technique to calm down and cool down ... I liked to watch how our tails are connected - red and gray ...". And here the heroes perceive the erotic game in different ways: Alexander is shackled, full of complexes, while the girl is relaxed and splashes with fantasies. But their romance, despite these difficulties, continues, making them happy.
The heroine subconsciously expects some misfortune, not believing in the safety of their love. During the next date, seized by strong emotions, she kisses the hero, and he turns into a dog instead of a wolf. The heroes understand that this supraphysical transformation is irreversible, Alexander will never turn into a wolf again. And Julie blames herself for what happened: "My kiss caused a catastrophe, that electric circuit of love that I closed, biting my lips into his mouth." The general, nobly, does not blame his beloved for anything.
Alexander flies to the North. After a couple of days, wounded and haggard, he appears in A Hooley's closet. Heroes are hiding in a forest dugout, which the girl has long equipped, just in case. The heroine takes out three silver bullets from a wounded lover and nurses him. The hero gets used to his new transformation - the image of a dog in which he can remain for as long as desired, in contrast to the short-lived mask of a wolf. Moreover, in the form of a dog, he can now speak.
And Julie decides to change the inner world and Alexander’s mentality, very different from her own. She is surprised to learn that he is an Orthodox Christian, a true believer, who considers her and their love a sin. The heroine is prone to eastern philosophy, spiritual practices, a fatalist and an atheist. The views of lovers on the human world are also different: the general believes in the human race and places his hopes on a brighter future, while the girl refuses people kindness and mind.
Lovers do not have sex for a long time because of Alexander: he is shy of the dog’s image. Finally, while watching Karwai’s film “Love Mood”, the heroes again manage to tune into a single energy wave and enter into intimacy. “Ah, what an evening it was! We never dived into the abyss so deeply ... The reason was in Alexander - now there was such a powerful hypnotic wave from him that I could not resist it ... for a while ... I became a victim of obsession myself and fell into an illusion without a trace ... ".
And Julie is pleased that the hero from a huge wolf turned into a “peaceful black dog” lying at her feet, and that love made him so. She thinks he’s better. At the same time, the heroine feels some vague force and threat from this dog. How surprised she was, finding out in a frank conversation that the lover was not happy with his metamorphosis and was suffering from their love. The girl is very offended by this. In addition, the hero admits that he can no longer have sex with his beloved because of the changed structure of the genitals. He calls himself a "dog with five legs." And Julie convinces her lover that he is dear to her in any form.
The girl is trying to remember what she heard about the "dog with the fifth paw." Finally, he recalls that the northern myths tell of the dog Garm, or Pizdets, who during danger will save Russia. But Julie shares her find with her lover, and he immediately leaves to check on his new opportunities.
Alexander returns in two days. According to him, he - "full Fucked" - can stop everything or come to everything. The hero plans to return to work in the FSB and serve the people. He identifies himself with the people and considers himself a super werewolf. The girl is trying to dissuade him, recalling that it was people who shot him and almost killed him, but the man longs to benefit the country. Then the heroine declares herself a werewolf, because she is the guardian of tradition and the holder of the “transmission line” that werewolves hold on to. She recalls a case from the distant past.
Once in China, near the Yellow Monastery, the girl heard the flute taking in her soul music, which seemed to lure her. She entered the monastery and met a flutist monk, the Yellow Master, who was not affected by her trouble. He knew her and was waiting for a serious conversation. By the power of the spell, the man deprived A Hooley of power, clutching her tail, and she experienced burning shame for her sins.
The monk asked the fox about her abilities and offered to heal her cunning heart for a righteous life. And Julie agreed, because she wanted to atone for her sins. The monk dedicated it to the secret of the Buddhist "teachings for magic foxes walking the supermundane path."
The flutist said the werewolf is a creature that moves between three worlds: humans, demons, and animals. Once upon a time, Buddha, in gratitude for food, gave the fox the doctrine of "liberation in one life." If you follow it, then you can not only save yourself, but also set an example to all the werewolf foxes of the Earth. The essence of the teaching is as follows: each fox should strive to become a super-werewolf and enter the Rainbow Stream.
Further, the Yellow Master said that the girl is now a super werewolf and the keeper of traditions, once she has secret higher knowledge, and she needs to find the key to the Rainbow Stream. And Julie was happy that she had to become the guardian of higher knowledge. The monk did not explain anything else, saying that higher teachings are very different from ordinary ones in their brevity.
Then And Julie understood almost nothing. Now she is confident that the key is “a proper understanding of her own nature”, and that she has already entered the Rainbow Stream. Telling this to Alexander, she convinces him that he is now super-werewolf, if he understood his mission.
Heroes argue about the tasks of werewolves in the world. And Huli, realizing some truth, retires to engage in spiritual practices, asking her beloved to wait for it. During meditation, she is struck by the thought that the key to higher knowledge of werewolves and to understanding the world is love, in her case, love for Alexander. In her mind, she clearly sees the Rainbow Stream and herself in it.
And Julie is in a hurry to share this discovery with her lover, but finds only a letter. In it, Alexander thanks for everything and says goodbye to her, promising always to "love like a soul mate." He wants to change for the better life in the homeland and in the world: "I will direct the wondrous power received from you as a gift to serve my country."
Grief And Huli has no limit, she cries for a long time. She decides to write him a letter that, as it seems to her, has not yet managed to inform. This letter turns into a book that we read. The heroine knows that she will never be so happy again.
When the book is almost written, And Julie meets Mikhalych, whom he asks about Alexander. He works hard, is an idol for his subordinates, rarely takes on a human image, fights against the country's external and internal enemies, and is slowly turning into a dictator. He constantly reads archival documents, studying the experience of previous werewolves.
The general asks to transfer to the former mistress, so that she never calls herself a super werewolf, since he can be only one. But Julie is sad to hear this, she realizes that the former lover has a mess in her head. At the end of the conversation, Mikhalych invites the girl to marry him, promising her a paradise life.
The heroine hurriedly completes a book in which she reveals the meaning of life to all werewolves and people, saves it in her laptop, sits down on her bicycle and goes to the springboard in Bitsevsky Park. There, greatly accelerated, And Hooley soars up and, straightening his tail and shouting his name, disappears. So she finds the road to freedom and forever "leaves this space of suffering."
When this second comes, the werewolf will unmistakably understand what to do next ... Then this world will disappear. And then, finally, I find out who I really am.
