But Julie is surprised by such a werewolf patriotism, she herself, having lived thousands of years in different countries, is cosmopolitan. The radical views of Alexander seem to A Hooley wild, although inexplicably attracted to her.

Lord Cricket tells the audience about werewolves, not suspecting that he is in their company. He recalls that he is going to call a super-werewolf at night in the temple.

She is especially indignant at the distortions of reality and the Image of God attributed to werewolves. She considers this a hypocrisy and finds many examples of distortion of reality in all aspects of life.
