In ancient times, a certain Taoist monk, the elder Lu, who comprehended the secret of immortality, met at the inn with a young man named Lu. They got into a conversation, and the young man began to complain about his unfortunate fate: he had studied for so many years, and he had been living on everything without a great deal of work. Then a dream began to prevail over him, and the elder offered him his head of green jade with holes on its sides. No sooner had the young man bowed his head than, illuminated by the light, the holes began to expand, and, going inside, the young man found himself near his own house.
Soon he married, began to grow rich every day, and then he succeeded in his career as an official. The emperor himself put forward it. Governing the Shen area, Lu benefited the local farmers with an irrigation canal. Later he rose to the governor of the capital district.
Here in the country there was a military turmoil. However, on the battlefield, Lu was lucky and defeated the enemy. The emperor generously awarded him ranks and titles. However, the envious did not doze off. The emperor was informed that Lou had planned a betrayal, and by the highest command he was ordered to be imprisoned. Bitterly regretted then Lou about his youthful desire for service!
More than once he was waiting for his vicissitudes of his career, but every time he rose again, until he became decrepit. He had already decided to ask the sovereign for his resignation, only he refused. Then Lou died.
And at that moment the young man woke up on the magic headboard. Now he knew the futility of his dreams, and wealth, loss and fortune. The young man thanked the old man and with a bow bowed away.
