In preparation for school, you need to make a lot of supporting materials. Especially often, students need the shortest content for a reader’s diary. The Literaguru team offers a sample of this manual, in addition, it strongly recommends reading an analysis of the Lapti story, it contains all the information for reviewing the book.
(305 words) For the fifth day there was an impenetrable blizzard. In a noble family a child became seriously ill. Father was away. In such weather, there is no one to send for a doctor, and the doctor would not agree to come through the storm. Mother is inconsolable and does not depart from the boy. Here the servant Nefed comes into the house (here is his characteristic), and throws the firebox in front of the stove. He looks into the room and asks about the condition of the child. Mother reports that the boy is raving and asking for some red bast shoes. She is afraid that her son will not survive. Nefed, without thinking twice, decides to walk on foot to the nearest town for bast shoes.
In the house everyone is waiting for Nefeda - and the mother of a sick child, and other servants. But the day passes, the evening comes, but the men are still gone. They decide that if he got it, he most likely stayed overnight in Novoselki, and will arrive no earlier than tomorrow afternoon. And the blizzard, meanwhile, does not calm down, everything is buzzing and howling.
Throughout the night, the household sees steps outside the window. And the night seems worse because Nefed is not, and it is not known what happened to him. The boy raves and asks for bast shoes, and the mother prays, asking God to protect the child. At dawn, steps are already clearly heard, and a knock is heard on the window. It turns out that these peasants brought the dead body of Nefed. They drove out of town and nearly died in a blizzard, drowning with a horse. The men had already decided to surrender, but then they saw that their feet in boots were sticking out of the snow. They rushed to pull out the body, and saw that they were a familiar person. We understood that this means farm meadows, and there is a house nearby. And only this was saved. And behind Nefed's bosom, there were new children's bast shoes and red fuchsin for painting them. So, the servant nevertheless reached Novosyolok, bought bast shoes and a bottle of fuchsin, and froze on the way back. His bold decision took his life, but it was not in vain - thanks to him the men from Novosyolok escaped, and bast shoes with fuchsin were nevertheless delivered to the manor house. It is not known whether the bast shoes helped the boy recover - this question remains open. But there is no doubt that Nefed gave his life for a good deed, that he died not in vain.
